| 作品解説 | 空間の中に量として仮定した石の塊を割り、内部を刳りぬき、外から内、内から外へと彫り込んで行く。再構築された形は空洞を生み、石の中を大気が巡り始める。柔らかさをまとった襞が季節や自然の振幅の中で揺れ動くように立ち上がり、光や空や周囲と戯れるように成り立ち、新しい彫刻空間を生み出して欲しい。そんな想いが制作の根底にある。 A mass of stone, assumed as volume within space, is split open; its interior is hollowed out and carved from outside to inside, and from inside to outside. The reconstructed form creates a cavity, and air begins to circulate through the stone. Folds clothed in softness rise up as though swaying within the amplitudes of the seasons and nature, coming into being as if playing with light, sky, and their surroundings, and I hope they will create a new sculptural space. These thoughts are the foundation of this work. |
