| 作品解説 | 構造的手法を通して、身体を記号的かつ空間的に再構成する試みである。重なり合う鉄の層は、肉体を一体的な存在としてではなく、記憶や知覚、時間の堆積として捉え直す視点を提示する。身体は表象される対象ではなく、切断され、間隔を与えられ、空間の中に配置されることで可視化され、宇部の風景や都市のスケールと呼応する。本作は、物質としての重量と、不可視な経験の層とが交錯する地点に、身体の新たな像を立ち上げる。 This work is an attempt to reconstruct the body symbolically and spatially through a structural approach. The overlapping layers of iron present a perspective that reconsiders the body not as a unified entity, but as an accumulation of memory, perception, and time. The body is not treated as an object of representation; rather, it is made visible through being cut, given intervals, and arranged within space, thereby responding to the landscape of Ube and the scale of the city. This work brings forth a new image of the body at the point where material weight and the layers of invisible experience intersect. |
