| 作品解説 | 作品を作るとはどういう事なのでしょうか。身の回りで起こる様々な事を「取り出し」理解するきっかけを作るのが目的の一つと考えます。この作品は自然と共存します。約60個の陶器で作られた地面に並べます。物体は空から振る雨を一点に溜める構造になっています。溜まった雨水の一部はその物体に染みこみます。その湿り気は、寒い時期の氷化、苔むすなどの現象、また物体には落ち葉などが溜まったりします。屋外で起こる色々な事象と一体化します。私達がつくる物は永遠ではありません。物質にもよりますが、年月を経て違った形になります。朽ち果てるのです。長い期間で朽ち果て他の物になる。この作品はその現象を「取り出し」た作品です。 What does it mean to create a work of art? I believe that one of its purposes is to create an opportunity to “extract” and understand the various things that happen around us. This work coexists with nature. It is arranged on the ground and made up of approximately sixty ceramic objects. Each object is designed to gather rain falling from the sky at single point. Part of the accumulated rainwater seeps into the object. This moisture gives rise to phenomena such as freezing in cold seasons and the growth of moss; fallen leaves and other matter also collect in the objects. In this way, the work becomes integrated with the various events and processes that occur outdoors. What we create is not eternal. Depending also on the material, it takes on a different form over the years. It decays. Over a long period of time, it decays and becomes something else. This work is a work that has “extracted” that phenomenon. |
