| 作品解説 | 石という重くて硬い素材に、花びらのようなやわらかさや軽やかさを与えることを目指しています。形や曲線、ボリュームの工夫によって、石がまるで花びらのように感じられるようにするのです。これは、花びらをそのまま再現するのではなく、「花びららしさ」という概念を石で表現する試みです。 石という素材は、花びらのような性質とは正反対ですが、だからこそ、そのギャップを乗り越えて美しさを生み出すことに意味があると考えます。細部まで丁寧に仕上げることで、作品の表面に美しさが浮かび上がり、見る人の心に響きます。それは、すべての作品に込められた「美を追求する」という行為でもあります。 花びらのかたちを通して、私たちは芸術作品としてだけでなく、「日常の中にある美しさを見つけ直す」というメッセージを込め、日々の忙しさや慣れに流されず、意識的に美を見つけ、感じることを、この作品から感じ取って頂けたらと思っております。 I aim to give stone—a heavy, hard material—the softness and lightness of flower petals. Through careful choices of form, curves, and volume, I shape the stone so that it can be felt almost like a petal. This is not an attempt to replicate petals exactly, but rather to express the idea of “petal-likeness” in stone. Stone as a material has qualities that are the complete opposite of petals, and precisely for that reason I believe it is meaningful to overcome that gap and create beauty. By finishing every detail with care, beauty emerges on the surface of the work and resonates with the viewer. In that sense, the piece also embodies the act of “pursuing beauty” that is present in all of my works. Through the form of petals, I want to convey not only an artwork, but also a message: to “rediscover the beauty that exists in everyday life”. I hope that this piece encourages people not to be swept away by busyness or routine, but to consciously seek out and feel beauty in their daily lives. |
