| 作品解説 | この作品のテーマは共生です。水棲生物のようなものと農具のようなものが融合し、互いに反対方向（水と陸）に向かおうとしています。それぞれが持つ機能的部分は、互いに無関係で一見対立関係にあるかのようにも思えますが、それらは反対側の場においても少しは機能するようになっています。 例えば、水棲生物の手のような部分は陸上においては鎌となり、農具の先端部分は水中においてはヒレのような役割をします。全体としては何らかの具体的機能性を示すものではありませんが、この作品を通して、人とそれ以外の生物の関係や、自然との関わり方について考え、感じたりすることがあれば、それがこの作品の機能になるのかと思います。 The theme of this work is coexistence. Some objects like an aquatic organism and a farming tool merge and are trying to go to the opposite direction against each other (water and land). The functionalities they have are different and might look conflicting, but in fact they can function a little on the other side as well. For example, the part looks like a hand of the aquatic creature functions as a sickle on the land, and the tip of the farming tool works as a fin in the water. They do not suggest any kind of specific function as a whole, but if people can turn their thoughts and feelings to the relationship between mankind and other creatures or how to interact with the nature, then I believe it could be the function of this artwork. |
