| 作品解説 | 世界各地を旅しながら、大地と結びついた膨刻について考えている。世界中にある数々の遺跡群、途方も無い時間と労力を費やし、当時の多くの人々の英知の結晶として現在も堂々とした姿を残している。 私は、その多くの遺跡を直に見て、遺跡自身が、とてつもない巨大な一つの生命体のように思えてならない。 私の中で再構築した遺跡が、今、生命が宿ったかのように、一歩一歩、歩き始める。 Travelling around the world, I think of sculpture and its connection with the earth. There are thousands of ruins across the globe, created using countless hours of labor, and today, their magnificent remains are proof of the wisdom ancient cultures possessed. I saw many ruins close up, and I couldn't help feeling that the ruins were like giant living creatures. The ruins that were reconstructed inside of me, are now like lives living inside of me, and are starting to walk, step by step. |
