| 作品解説 | １出品作品コンセプト A child’s consciousness is always filled with curiosity and wonder. They possess the innocence we have slowly lost, making our distant childhood nostalgic. 子どもの意識はいつも好奇心とおどろきに満ち溢れている。彼らは私たちがゆっくりと失った無邪気さを持ち、私たちが遠く過ぎ去った子供時代への郷愁を掻き立てる。 We are reminded by children of the temporariness of our own juvenility. We realize that along the way, it just disappeared; completely escaping our notice. As we grow older, any opportunity to relive these moments becomes increasingly blissful. 子どもは、自分自身も持っていた無垢が移ろいゆくものであることに気づかせてくれる。成長の過程で、こうした幼さがいつの間にか姿を消していったことを教えてくれる。年をとれるにつれ、無垢な時代を回顧する瞬間は愛おしいものになる。 。 This piece entitled, ‘’Do Not Pop!’’ is a fulfillment of childhood sentiment to witness bubbles that do not disappear. A wish that is always in constant disagreement with the laws of Physics. By fusing fifty-five glass spheres, I created this piece in hopes of simulating the experience of being in the presence of bubbles. An experience that is a little less fleeting. 「Do Not Pop!（弾けるな！）」と題された本作品は、中が空洞のガラス球を使って、消えないシャボン玉を望む幼少期の感情の実現である。それは物理法則に常に反した願望。５５個のガラス玉を融合することでシャボン玉がたくさんある状態を体験する。 |
