| 作品解説 | 斜めに立った赤い方形の箱の稜線の上で、キラキラ輝くステンレスの丸棒が風力によってトリッキーに回転する。箱の上部に一部だけ口を開けたところがあるのは上の丸棒を支える回転軸（ベアリング）が取り付けられているからだが、開口部は造形的にもユーモラスなトーンを加えている。いわゆるキネティック・アート（動く彫刻）はこの作家の技倆によって軽やかに進展してきた。緑の樹木を背景にするといっそう魅力を発揮する。 On the ridgeline of a tilted and standing red rectangular box, a glittering stainless-steel rod trickily rotates by the wind. There is a single opening on top of the box to accommodate a rotating shaft (bearing) supporting the rod above, but the gape adds a humorous tone to the form at the same time. The springy advancement of the so-called “kinetic art (moving sculpture)” owes a lot to the artist’s exceptional skills. The charm of the artwork stands out against the backdrop of greenery. |
