| 作品解説 | ガラスと石の組み合わせで視覚的な緊張感を与える作品を得意とする作家である。この作品は横6mに広がる3枚の強化ガラスを、上下の巨石のあいだに立ててはさみ込んだ作品で、ガラスの上に巨石がどっかとのっている。巨石とガラス、重量と脆弱さとの危ういバランスが、透明ブルーのガラス越しに見える風景をいっそう緊迫した風景に創り変えている。 The creator is skilled in creating a visual tension by combining glass and stone. In this work, three tempered glass panels, 6m in total width, stand erect while being sandwiched between two upper and lower megaliths. One of the rocks sits right on top of the glass, fully bearing down on it. The ominous balance of weight and fragility represented by stone and glass adds an invisible tension to the landscape beyond the transparent blue glass. |
