| 作品解説 | 一見、鉄骨の資材置場のように無造作だが、タイトルが示しているように、作者も一種のジャングルジム的な観客の受け入れをめざした。すべてがきちんと目的化された現代にあって一見不用とみえるものこそ子どもたちにとっては魅力ある場所だ。常盤公園北側のスポーツ広場、野球場を見降ろすバックネット裏にあってすぐそばの東屋とは好対称をみせる。 At first glance, it looks as unceremonious as a backyard storage for steel materials. As the title suggests, however, the sculptor deliberately designed it to invite viewers into the inner space like a jungle gym would do. In the modern world where everything is precisely purposed, an apparently useless thing attracts children more than anything. Standing behind the back net overlooking the baseball field in the sports area on the northern side of Tokiwa Park, the sculpture makes a good contrast to the nearby gazebo. |
