| 作品解説 | シワの寄った金属の波面と、枯木を思わす大小の枝の組み合わせである。めらめらと燃え立つ炎を造形化するとこんなふうにとらえられるのだろうか。断片を総合しながらある大きな表現をとらえようとするこの作家の作風やユーモアが、小ぶりな作品の中に厳しく生かされている。 The sculpture is a combination of wrinkled, wavy metal surfaces and branches of various sizes reminiscent of dead trees. It might be a formative expression of a brilliantly burning flame. The sculptor’s signature style and humor to capture larger concepts through the aggregation of fragments are acutely present in this rather small piece of work. |
