| 作品解説 | 彫刻ばかりでなく抽象形態の平面絵画もものにしていくこの作家の作品は、楽しげな自由さに包まれている。「ピクニック」も平面絵画の延長線にあるような作品で厚さ85cmの強化プラスチック（F.R.P.）をくりぬいた格好の彫刻作品である。太陽とか動物人体を思わすように形態が上下二段に三個ずつ計六個くり抜かれその厚味の内側部分は赤、黄、青の三原色が塗装されて遊園地にでもいるような雰囲気がある。 Works by this artist, excelled not only in sculpture but also abstract painting, are always exuding delightful freedom. Picnic is like an extension of a flat painting, featuring a carved FRP (fiber-reinforced plastic) with a thickness of 85 cm. A total of six shapes reminiscent of the sun, an animal, or human, are hollowed out in two layers, and the surfaces of the thick hollows are painted in three primary colors of red, yellow, and blue, creating a jovial atmosphere like a day spent in an amusement park. |
