| 作品解説 | 宇部市はその昔、石炭の町だった。石炭の町には必ず炭を運搬する空中ケーブル（バスケット）が走っていてそれが工場などへとつながっていた。この作品はチェーンとバスケットを組み合わせた鉄でできており、台座からカーブを描きながら六個のバスケットが階段上をチェーンで引っ張り上げられ空中へと昇っている。 註）バスケットはバケットの誤記の可能性あり Ube was once a coal town. There was always an aerial cable (basket) running to carry coals, which led to factories and other facilities. This work is made of iron, which is a combination of a chain and a basket, and six baskets are pulled up by a chain on the stairs while drawing a curve from the pedestal and rise to the air. |
