| 作品解説 | 照明デザインなどの分野でも華々しく活躍してきた作者は、光や反射光の扱いにおいてわが国では抜きんでた存在である。円形の鏡面ステンレスを底辺に、両側から二枚の湾曲したガラス板を錐状に合わせて、この作品においても外観を呼び込むことに抜群の冴えをみせた。鏡面を走る雲、双極ガラスの屈曲によって地下の鏡面にはさらに周囲の景色も加わって、地上と地面に二極三層の複雑な空間が生じていく。光を呼び込む人である。 As a prominent figure in the lighting design and other areas, the artist stands apart from the rest in Japan in the handling of light and reflection. By combining a mirror-finished stainless disk at the bottom and two curved glass plates joining from sides to form a conical shape, the sculptor fully demonstrated artistry in establishing a distinctive scenery. The reflection of clouds traveling across the mirror surface, added with the surroundings projected through the inflected glasses, creates a dipolar and triple-layered complex space on and above the ground. The artist knows how to attract light. |
