| 作品解説 | 土でつくる黒陶彫刻と石を削り磨く石彫の仕事をこの作家は同時併行でやってきた。土と石、素材の硬軟や力の入れ具合からするとまったく真反対の素材であるにもかかわらず、この作家の中では次第にそれが一つのものとして感じられつつある。この頃、黒陶の作品を真鍮のヒモで盛んにしばっている。しばることによって黒陶はいっそうの軟らかさを浮き出させることになるが、一方の石は、有機的な縄目を入れる（刻む）ことによってかえって硬さを強調することになったようだ。 The sculptor simultaneously worked on making sculptures from clay (black porcelain sculpture) and carving and polishing stones (stone sculpture). While the clay and stone have opposite textures and require completely different approaches in shaping them, the sculptor growingly considers the two as one and the same. His works released around the time of this piece are predominantly made of black porcelain bound by brass strings. By being bound, the softness of black porcelain becomes even more visible, while the binding of a stone by means of adding (carving) organic cable patterns resulted in even more emphasized solidity of the material. |
