| 作品解説 | 桜井祐一（1914～81年）は、佐藤忠良と並ぶ戦後具象彫刻の旗手の一人。「あるポーズ」はその意味でエポックメーキングな作品である。厳格そうな具象に見えながら中腰に構える下半身はアクロバティックな重心を保たねばならない。しかし視覚的にはそれが心地よく均整がとれているのは不思議である。 Yuichi Sakurai (1914 - 81) was the flagbearer of postwar representationalism alongside Churyo Sato. In this sense, A Pose is an epoch-making piece. While it seems to strictly adhere to representationalism, the crouching lower body requires the statue to acrobatically keep the gravity point. It is a visual wonder that the statue seems at ease in a balanced position. |
