Comment | A cylinder seal made from beautiful red carnelian. Engraved with a battle scene between three figures, a motif that was appreciated in the Neo-Assyrian period. Based on the characteristics of the clothing and the hero in the center extending both hands in the struggle with two winged genii with human heads, it highly likely that the seal dates to the Achaemenid Dynasty. |
