Comment | A cylinder seal made from pale brown agate. The carving is characteristic of the delicate carvings in the so-caled Assyrian Modeling Style of the late Neo-Assyrian period. A winged genie with a human head grapples with a unicorn rearing on its hind legs and a winged unicorn in a battle scene between three figures, a motif that is characteristic of the Neo-Assyrian period. |
