| Comment | It is called a molar flask because the four legs look like molars. Since it is small and sturdy, it is believed that the flask was a container for carrying expensive liquid such as perfumes. The four legs that stick out from the bottom are thought to have been devised for stability when the flask was wrapped in straw. |
