Comment | A core-formed tapering bottle with an amphora shape. The body has been ornamented with a feather pattern by trailing with white glass and red glass. The glass is in extremely good condition, but repairs have been made to one of the handles applied from the shoulder to the top of the neck. Analysis by x-ray fluorescence spectrometry has determined that the black color of the body was produced by an iron colorant, the blue color on the handles by a copper colorant, the decorative red glass by a copper colorant reduced, and the white color was produced by a calcium antimonate colorant. |
