Comment | A core-formed deep blue glass jar with one handle. A break in the middle of the neck has been repaired, and the handle has been repaired with resin. The spherical body and the slightly long neck have been decorated with yellow, white, and green glass with a swag pattern on the body and a chevron pattern on the neck. The mouth rim has been ornamented with green and yellow glass. Analysis by non-destructive x-ray fluorescence spectrometry has established that the blue color is cobalt from Egypt, the yellow color is lead antimonate yellow, and the green color was made by adding copper colorant to yellow glass. |
