Comment | In the cities of Indus Civilization, square seals called as Indus type seals were developed. The appearance of seals reflect that the interregional trade and interactions were developed in Indus Civilization. The interaction with Mesopotamian Civilization was especially important for both civilizations. The words which indicate Indus Civilization were frequently appeared on Mesopotamian clay cuneiform tablets. Various kind of animals and plants were depicted on the Indus type seals. A unicorn on this seal is the most popular motif. Unicorns are depicted on more than a half of the excavated Indus type seals. Marks above the back of the unicorn are Indus script. Indus script is not yet deciphered, then Indus Civilization is still remained mysterious. |
