| Comment | This figurine in the shape of a zebu was from Balochistan, western Pakistan. In southern Balochistan, the local material culture, named after the archaeological site Kulli, was developed, whereas in the Indus plain, the Indus civilization flourished. The zebu was a popular motif for painting on pottery and for animal figurines. The zebu is also popular in Gilan, northern Iran, but the style is quite different. |
