Comment | On the center of the plate, a bird is depicted in a circle surrounded by triangular design filled with diagonal lines. Most of the species depicted on Islamic pottery are small birds those have sweet twitter such as sparrow, brambling and wagtail. Generally, small birds could not adapt to desert and arid area but prefer to habit in oasis near to water source and grass land. The motif of small birds might remind people living arid area the greenery rich lands. |
