Comment | A profile of lady is drawn on a squat lekythos (bottle for balm). The long hair is rolled by a hair-band whereas loose hair remains on the nape of her neck. Neckless is expressed with a line of dots. A floral motif (palmetto) is just in front of the face. Quick and skillful brushwork expresses the lively lady. The women profiles are drawn on bottles for balm, dishes, drinking vessels which were mass-produced in ancient Greece and southern Italy. |
