Comment | It is thought that the bronze sword of this type was made of separate parts that were joined with metal solder. This technique seems to have spread in northwestern Iran after the eighth century BC, but does not seem to have been seen in western Iran, which was known for Luristan bronze. By the way, the color of “bronze” is apt to be considered dark green, but is rather reddish tinged before forming an oxide film by weathering. |
