CommentThis is seemingly a very ordinary piece of a bronze sword, but amazingly, an iron core is embedded into its grip. Iron cores are applied only to swords that are typologically typical for northwestern Iran in the tenth to the ninth centuries BC. The reason why people embedded iron cores into the swords remains an enigma.
