Comment | The most of the area of the Middle East has dry inland climate, and a year is clearly divided into dry and rainy seasons. The seeds of the plant germinate and flower during the limited period of the early spring. The peculiar natural environment of the Middle East became the back ground of the episodes of artificial gardens such as "Hanging Gardens of Babylon". The species are not identified for most of the plants depicted on the crafts, because they are highly deformed. It is quite different from animal representation on the crafts which are relatively easy to identify species. |
