CommentLusterware, during its prime time, is known for coloring that looks as if it were gold painting. A closer look reveals lusterware’s unique reddish iridescence. This work is characterized by the smooth teardrop shape, soft white color from the tin glaze, and beautiful coloring of lusterware. The beautifully-colored patterns also feature fine craftsmanship such as the use of sgraffito on luster pigments and negative patterns created by blotting out.
