Comment | A bowl with tapering bottom cast in pale brown transparent glass. The mouth rim has been finished by grinding; both the interior and exterior have been ground. The inscription below the mouth rim on the exterior reads "ΠΡΙΣΚΟΥ" (Belongs to Priskos). Ornamented by cutting double encircling lines on the exterior base, and two double encircling lines on the interior below the mouth rim. The pale brown color was achieved by adding manganese as a decolorizing agent. |
