| Concept (by Artist) | 鉄は時間と共に錆びて変化します。時間を共に表現できる素材として使ってきました。 久しぶりに高校時代の友人の父の写真をみて、彼の風格と素材が一致して作品になる予感がして、彼をモチーフに作りました。ちょうど年を重ねた感じが素材と一致したような気がします。 久しぶりに会った人を見て、時間を感じた。と同時に自分にも同じ時間が流れていました。 Iron rusts and ages with time, so I have been using it to express both the artistic intention and passage of time. I found a photo of my high-school friendʼs father after many years and used him as a motif, feeling that iron would make a perfect match with his patina. How he ages seems to fit the material. When I saw someone after a long time, I felt the time has passed – just as it has passed with me. |
