The statue of a woman with ample hip and breasts, half-stepping forward, proudly stands with her hands thrusted behind her to stick out her belly. She is the epitome of a proud woman Kinouchi pursued in his career. The artistic exaggeration in the realism may share the same root with the jovial clay figurines from the Jomon period and archaic female figures, which the artist sought for throughout his life. The statue is one of the largest sculptures by Kinouchi, who mainly worked on small and earthen pieces. The 186cm-tall figure was also one of his favorite works.
