Concept四つの方体からなるアルミの箱が一列に組んである。それらの各面ともやわらかくふくらみ、遠目には一本の長い材質の箱を、まるで羊羹でも切ったみたいに同じふくらみの表情をしている。ちょっと人間わざではできそうもないふくらみ方だが、つくり方に秘密がある。実は各方体ともアルミで各面を熔接しておいて、水を注入してふくらませ、やわらかく膨張させたのである。水圧をかけ過ぎると破裂する。その微妙さを加減するべく中から鉄材で支えておいて水を注入し、このように同じようなふくらみの表情が生まれ出た。

An aluminum box consisting of four cubes are assembled in a row. Each side of the cubes gently bulges in the same manner, as if a long bar of jelly cut into pieces. At a glance, it seems technically impossible to artificially add such a natural bulge to the metal, but there is a secret in how the bulge was created. The sculptor first welded each side of the cubes and then poured water in the hollow until the aluminum surface softly swelled. The material would burst if too much water pressure is applied. To obtain just the right amount of pressure, iron parts supported the internal void while the water was poured to create identical bulges.
