| Concept | モニュメンタルな野外彫刻にしろ室内彫刻にしろ、この人がつくる作品はいつも周囲の空間や環境との不思議な融合をしてしまっている。この作品も四方からアルミ板が徐々にせり上がり、その頂上の屋根の部分がくるりと巻き上がりながら冠をかぶっている。周辺の松林、芝生、砂地と這い伝わってきた風が、この作品のところにきてアルミ板を這い上がり、くるりとつむじ風を起こし再び向こう側へ降りていく感じがする。地表に低く這う作品でありながら、周辺とのaffinity（親和力）はまことに爽やかなものとなる。 Whether an outdoor monument or an interior, sculptures by this artist always end up in mysterious merger with the surrounding spaces and environments. This piece, consisting of aluminum plates gradually rising from four sides and featuring a curled and crowned roof on top, is no exception. You can feel the wind traveling over nearby pine forests, lawns, and sandy grounds, arriving at the foot of the piece, crawling up the aluminum plates, creating a whirlwind on top, and going down the other side. While grounded and low-rise, the artwork’s affinity with the environment is truly uplifting. |
