| 作品解説 | 離れて立っている2本のステンレスの角柱が最初は垂直に立ち、それが途中でよじれるうちにカーブを描きながら互いに入れ替わり、上の方で両者は1本にまとまって再び正方形の角柱となっていく。ある方向から眺めると、離れて立っている角柱は一方が細めで他方が幅広く見えるが、ねじれの部分で両者が入れ替わり、1本の正方形の角柱に化けてしまう。直線と曲線が面白く共生しながら最後は安定感のある1個のモニュメントになってしまっている。 Two stainless steel prisms stand erect and apart at first but eventually twist to replace with each other until finally forming a single square prism at the top. When viewed from a certain direction, one of the separate prisms looks slimmer than the other, but they exchange positions in the twisting process and eventually transform into a single prism. Straight lines and curves create an exciting form of cohabitation in the process to ultimately form a single, stable monument. |
