Benz-Metz Ladder Truck
| Description | This fire engine has a Karl-Metz ladder mounted on a Benz truck chassis. Stationed at the Marunouchi Fire Substation in May of 1955, it operated across 20 years until 1975 when it was retired from service at the Ikebukuro Fire Station. During this time, it was dispatched over 4,000 times. Just before its retirement, it responded to a raging fire at a building in Ikebukuro and rescued 5 people from the flames. |
