| 作品解説 | 『東遊』（nagataⅠ/sor/c/152）は浅草庵市人撰の絵入り狂歌本で、寛政11年（1799）春に蔦屋重三郎が版行した。挿絵を全て北斎が手がけ、その内容は日本橋、飛鳥山、王子海老屋、版元蔦屋重三郎の耕書堂店先など、江戸名所と市井風俗を広範に描いている。全29図にわたり一枚絵にも引けをとらない精緻な描写と斬新な構図がみられ、墨摺ながら見応えがある。北斎の挿絵の評価は高かったらしく、享和2年（1802）、狂歌を省いて挿絵を色摺に変えた改題本『画本東都遊』（nagataⅠ/sor/c/173～177）が版行された。 |
