| 作品解説 | 北斎は40歳代の前半、挿絵だけではなく物語の作者（戯作者）として、4種の黄表紙を発表した。戯作者としての号は「時太郎可候」で、画号としても用いた。本書はその内の1点で、山王の猿たちが文殊菩薩に人間に生まれかわることを願い出て、「長い目でみる人」など、一風変わった人間になるという話。 |
