| 作品解説 | 女三宮は『源氏物語』若菜の上に登場する姫。女三宮が蹴鞠（けまり）に興じる男たちを御簾（みす）越しに見ていたところ、紐を付けていた猫が急に走り出し、御簾がめくれてしまった。この時、蹴鞠をしていた柏木の衛門は、女三宮の姿を見て恋心を抱く。 本作は四方側の摺物で、寛政12年（1800）の申年によって、女三宮は猫ではなく猿の紐を引いている。 |
