| 作品解説 | 箱を肩に担ぐのは鮨売り、その隣の男は毛氈と包みをからげている。二人の武士と奴。連れだって歩く女性、子どもを連れた老人、酒と包みを持たせた男を連れた武士、三味線を背負った座頭。さまざまな人々がそぞろ歩く。背景描写がなく、抽象的な空間となっているが、発句では桜や夜桜がうたわれているので、花見の人々の往来と見ることができよう。女性の髪形や人々の風俗から、当世ではなく元禄の頃の描写と思われる。 「寛政九巳春」とあり、最後は雪中庵完来の句で締めくくられている。完来は雪中庵三世大島蓼太（りょうた）の門人で天明4年（1784）に雪中庵四世なった。葎雪庵午心（りっせつあんごしん）、馬肝も雪中庵完来の門人であった。《武蔵野の富士と筑波》(nagataⅡ/035)、《雪中の庵》（同/071）、《天秤棒を持って橋を渡る男》（同/094）、《釣り人と漁師》（同/097）も、北斎とこの雪門派との関係を示している。 |
