| 作品解説 | 総州屋から出版されたこの揃物の袋（nagataⅠ/sor/a/011）には「阿蘭陀画鏡 江戸八景」と書かれ、顕微鏡が描かれている。その意図は異国趣味を演出するためか、又は顕微鏡で覗き見る程に細緻な表現であることを強調するためであろう。各図で透視遠近法を駆使して自然な奥行きを表し、線を細かく重ねて陰影を表現するなど、西洋の銅版画からの強い影響が窺える。当該期における、北斎の西洋画法への傾倒ぶりを示す好例として名高い。 |
