| 作品解説 | 大判五枚続の大画面に、華やかで活気ある吉原の大籬を描いている。中央やや左の縁起棚の下には楼主と女房、箱火鉢を挟んで対面に花魁が座している。右から2枚目の図の一番奥にみえる孔雀の壁貼付がある部屋が、遊女たちが居並ぶ張見世である。まだ営業前なのだろう、大広間に花魁、新造、禿らがそぞろ歩く。右下の炊事場では男たちが料理に精を出しており、竈の上に害虫駆除の効験があるとされた鶏の絵馬が置かれている。ちなみに北斎は同様の絵馬を単独の画題として描いている（nagataⅠ/hok/d/443《釜に絵馬図》）。 |
