| 作品解説 | 永田生慈氏が『古美術』83号で紹介した肉筆画。二股大根は商売繁昌を願って大黒天を祀る甲子待で供えられた縁起物の野菜で、本作品では巨大な二股大根を大黒天が担ぐ様を描いている。大根を白い肌の女体に見立て、それを大黒天が嬉々として肩車する、というユーモラスな図様で、当時好評だったのか、北斎の門人も同様の作品を残している。なお本作品は西洋における北斎研究の嚆矢『HOKUSAÏ』を著したフランスの文学者エドモン・ド・ゴンクール（1822-96）の旧蔵品である。 |
