Description(JPN)： 東京湾は、昭和31年(1956)に当時の通商産業省（現在の経済産業省）が石油化学工業を軸とする工業化政策を決定し、工業用地として開発が進められました。用地確保のため、埋め立てが急速に進められ、1970年代にピークを迎えました。
Description： In 1956, the then Ministry of International Trade and Industry (now the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry) decided on an industrialization policy centered on the petrochemical industry, and development of Tokyo Bay as an industrial site was promoted. In order to secure land, land reclamation proceeded rapidly, reaching a peak in the 1970s.
