| Description | Relocation work of Yotsuya Mitsuke Bridge (currently Nagaike Mitsuke Bridge) to Nagaike Park. The original Yotsuya Mitsuke Bridge was completed in 1913, and was 37 meters long and approximately 22 meters wide.It was replaced when Shinjuku Street was widened, and as the oldest existing bridge in Tokyo, it was considered to have high architectural and cultural value, and was relocated to Nagaike Park. The crane used to lift the steel material called arch ribs is TADANO TG-1000M (maximum lifting weight 100 tons). During the Yotsuya Mitsuke Bridge era, there were 11 arch ribs, but two were used for strength tests, and now there are 9, so after the bridge was relocated, it was several meters thinner than the original bridge. The unused steel materials are now being used as objects around the bridge. |
