| 解説 | 自然と生活が共存する武蔵野の田園風景を色鮮やかに描きだした風景画です。ふっくらとした量塊を積み重ねる樹木の表現をはじめ、三角形や円弧を組み合わせて描かれるモティーフには、児島が到達した独自の装飾的な様式が顕著です。画家は、はじめマティスに学び、色や形の単純化を試みましたが、次第に日本の琳派や南画の様式を取り入れ、日本的な装飾化された表現を目指しました。 This work depicts a vivid rural landscape of Musashino where people live alongside nature. KOJIMA’s unique decorative style is seen in the motifs created with triangles and arcs, such as the expression of the plump trees piled up. KOJIMA first learned from Matisse and experimented with simple colors and shapes, but gradually adopted the styles of Japanese Rinpa and Nanga, aiming for a Japanese-style decorative expression. |
