| 解説 | この時期の浅井の作品には、師フォンタネージの影響色濃く、褐色を基調とした色調で農村風景を叙情的に描いたものがたくさんあります。黎明期の写真をいち早く取り入れて制作したことでも知られ、本作も写真をもとに描いたものであることがわかっています。ただし、5人の人物が写る写真の中から、2人の農夫のみを抜き出して描いているうえ、農夫の1人が担ぐ犂を何度も描き直した跡も残っており、単なる模写ではない浅井の制作態度が窺えます。 Many of ASAI's works during this period lyrically depict rural landscapes with brown-based tones, showing strong influence from his teacher, FONTANESI. He is known to have been one of the first artists to incorporate and produce photographs from his early days, and this work was drawn based on his photographs. In this case, however, ASAI depicted only two farmers out of five people in the picture, and the scratch marks around one of these figures show ASAI’s many attempts at redrawing, showing ASAI’s attitude towards producing art was much more than just reproducing the photograph. |
