| 作品解説 | 裾にフリルのある黄色い衣服が目を引く女性像。鮮やかな黄色は、青い輪郭線と好対照をなしています。本作は、実はシーレが椅子や梯子の上などの高い視点から、床に寝そべるモデルを見下ろして描き、描いた紙を90度回転させて完成作としています。人物に独特の浮遊感が生まれることから、シーレが好んだ手法です。20世紀初頭のウィーンを駆け抜けるように生き、28歳で夭折したエゴン・シーレですが、生涯に渡って人体表現に関心を寄せ、人体をテーマに多くのドローイングを残しました。 エゴン・シーレ 1890‐1918 ウィーン近郊トゥルン生まれ。ウィーン美術アカデミーに学ぶ。初期にはクリムトに影響を受けたが、1910年頃に独自性を確立。1912年、オーストリア芸術家同盟のメンバーとなった。挑発的ともとれる裸体表現や、強烈な自意識を投影した自画像などを繊細な線によって描いた。1918年第49回ウィーン分離派展で大きな成功を収めるも、同年死去。 |
| Description | This female figure’s yellow garment with ruffles at its hemline catches the eye. The vibrant yellow contrasts well with the blue outlines. This piece was actually painted by Schiele from a high vantage point, such as a chair or ladder, looking down on the model lying on the floor, after which he rotated the paper 90 degrees to complete the piece. This technique was favored by Schiele, as it creates the unique sense that the figure is floating. Egon Schiele, who lived as if dashing throughout early 20th-century Vienna and who died prematurely at age 28, maintained a lifelong interest in the expression of the human body, leaving behind many drawings on that theme. |
