| 作品解説 | 本作品は、背景の建物や鉄塔の形状から、バイエルン地方南部の炭鉱町、ペンツベルクで描かれたものだと考えられます。1911年から1922年までこの地域に住んでいたカンペンドンクは、家からほど近いこの町の光景をよく描きました。 ヤギや馬たちの素朴な表情と、包み込むような深い赤が、おとぎ話の世界に誘うかのようです。「青騎士」の仲間で、親しい近所づきあいをしていたフランツ・マルクと同じく、カンペンドンクは動物を好んで描きました。左下の青、右端のエメラルドグリーンの小さな色面が、画中のデザイン的な要素として、赤の心地よさを引き立てています。 ハインリヒ・カンペンドンク 1889‐1957 ドイツのノルトライン=ヴェストファーレン州クレーフェルト生まれ。同地の工芸美術学校で学ぶ。1911年の第1回青騎士展、翌年の第2回展に参加。1923年からエッセン美術学校、1926年からデュッセルドルフ美術アカデミーで教鞭を執った。1933年に亡命しベルギー滞在を経てオランダに移住、アムステルダム国立アカデミーに勤務した。教会のステンドグラス制作なども手がけている。 |
| Description | Judging from the shapes of the buildings and pylon in the background, this piece is believed to have been painted in Penzberg, a coal mining town in southern Bavaria. Campendonck, who lived in the area from 1911 to 1922, often painted scenes from the town, which was located close to his home. The simple expression of the goat and horse, as well as the enveloping deep red, seem to transport you to a fairy-tale world. Like his close neighbor and fellow “Blue Rider” Franz Marc, Campendonck enjoyed painting animals. Small patches of blue in the lower left and emerald green on the far-right act as design elements to enhance the soothing red of the painting. |
