| 作品解説 | 佐藤は東京造形大学の教授となり、彫刻専攻の第1期生となった笹戸千津子をモデルに、イタリアの具象彫刻に共鳴するような作品を模索し始めます。本作は、当時の若者のファッションを取り入れ、身体や衣服を大胆に操作した作品でした。「具象でモビールをやってみているような気持ち」と語っているように、形態の均衡や空間の広がりをどう生み出すかが、佐藤の関心事となっていきました。この作品を作った時、佐藤は還暦の年を迎えていました。 |
| Description | Sato became a professor at Tokyo Zokei University, and with Sasado Chizuko, an inaugural student majoring in sculpture, as his model, began to explore works that would resonate with Italian figurative sculpture. This piece incorporates the fashion of young people of the time, and boldly manipulates both body and clothing. Sato said that he “felt like I was trying to create a figurative mobile”, and the matter of how to create balance in form and expansive space became his main focus. Sato had turned 60 at the time he created this piece. |
